2024 Melbourne DEKA FIT Weekend

Caroline Springs George Cross FC is a Victorian NPL soccer club based in Fraser Rise, a north-western suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. George Cross FC is a club rich with history, formed in 1947 by Maltese immigrants. The club proudly wears the George Cross medal on its Jersey as part of the club’s official emblem to honour the Maltese Culture. We have many Maltese descendants who play at George Cross because of the Maltese connection.

The club will play host to the first ever 2-day DEKA Trifecta Weekend in Australia! Additionally, DEKA Marks from this weekend will be added to the Global Leaderboard which means you can also qualify at this event for the 2024 DEKA World Championships!

DAY 1: SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 14th - DEKA FIT, our Super Bowl of Fitness event combines ten functional training zones (DEKA Zones) each preceded by 500 meters of running (5k total).

• Age Group Heat: eligible for Age Group recognition and award.
• Elite Heat: eligible for prize money.
• Team Division: Age Group Teams of all levels divide and conquer the DEKA FIT Arena in 2-Person Teams (Female, Male, & Co-Ed). Eligible for podium recognition.

DAY 2 - Morning: SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 15th - DEKA MILE, a unique and memorable fitness challenge for the masses combining our DEKA Zones each preceded by 160 meters of running (1 mile total).

• Open Heat: For all levels.
• Team Division: Age Group Teams of all levels divide and conquer the DEKA FIT Arena in 2-Person Teams (Female, Male, & Co-Ed). Eligible for podium recognition and award.

DAY 2 - Afternoon: SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 15th - DEKA STRONG, our fitness testing, assessment and event designed for gyms and studios featuring our DEKA Zones with zero running.

• Open Heat: For all levels.
• Team Division:Age Group Teams of all levels divide and conquer the DEKA FIT Arena in 2-Person Teams (Female, Male, & Co-Ed). Eligible for podium recognition and award.

Bring your friends and family to cheer you on!
Register your spectators for access to the festival and spectator-only viewing areas; kids 13 and under do not need a spectator pass.
